Chuck lived most of his life in Vernon County, graduating high school in 1965. Following high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served for four years from 1965 – 1969 in Vietnam.
For most of his adult life Chuck was a truck driver, he also worked for the City of Nevada Water Treatment Plant for several years. He was a member of Myrtle Tree Fellowship Assembly of God Church in Rich Hill, MO.
In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by a daughter, Kortni Gossett and her fiancé, Joshua Pace of Nevada; six grandchildren, Rylin McKinney, Blaiz Pace, Konnway Hensley, Mattalyn Pace, Maddyx Page, and Waylon Pace; one great-grandchild, Kingston Rogers; a brother, Billy Gossett, Nevada, MO; a sister, Donna Morgan, Oklahoma City, OK; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private Committal with Military Honors will be held in the National Cemetery in Ft. Scott, KS at a later date.
