State Farm Student Athlete of the Week

We are happy to announce this week’s Athlete of the Week, Colin Kramer! Colin was nominated by Coach Moles after a great week. "Last week, we went 3-0 (at Archie, at Osceola, vs. Lakeland), which included him hitting a buzzer beater 3 against Archie to send the game to OT. Colin averaged 17.3 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 5.3 APG. He went 60% FG, 38% 3 pt, and 80% FT." Congratulations Colin, we enjoyed speaking with you!

About Colin:

Colin is a senior at Adrian High School and is involved in basketball. We asked Colin what he believes it takes to become an elite athlete. He told us, "it is more than just going to practice, you have to work just as hard outside of practice as you do inside. Also, building chemistry and trust with your teammates is very important.” The most influential person in Colin’s athletic career is Coach Basore. Colin explained Basore has taught him to be not only a better player but a better person. He has really helped build his character.

•Favorite sport: Basketball

•Favorite sports memory: last year when they beat Eldo in the district semifinals.

•Favorite athlete: Trae Young. Colin said he plays the game well and is fun to watch. Also, he likes to model the game after him.

•Favorite sonic drink: mango pineapple slushy

Colin is undecided on a college, but wishes to continue his academic and athletic career. His plan is to major in Business Management and obtain his real estate licenses.

We wish Colin and the Blackhawks the best of luck as they face Drexel tonight!

*Each week the athlete is awarded with a certificate and a gift card to Sonic. Each Athlete of the Week will be considered for one $500 scholarship which will be awarded in May.
