Tigers close out season with win over Whirlwinds...

The Rich Hill Tigers Varsity Boys Basketball Team wrapped up the season tonight with a 69-52 victory over the Archie Whirlwinds. 

Rich Hill was coming into the game tonight already beating Archie on January 27th in the Archie Tournament. The tigers came out strong and led at the end of the first quarter 21-11with Senior Brayden Chandler having 11 points for Rich Hill.

Archie was able to claw back in the 2nd quarter led by Senior Tristian Leeper who had 14 points. Rich Hill led the game at halftime 34-28. 

Rich Hill was able to come out strong in the 2nd half and led 51-40 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Rich Hill was too strong down the stretch and pulled away for a comfortable 17 point victory 69-52.

Rich Hill had three players scoring in double figures tonight led by Senior Brayden Chandler who had 23 points and Junior Dillon Coonce pitched in 21 points and 17 rebounds, and Junior Zane Becker has 12 points. 

Archie was led in scoring by Senior Tristian Leeper who had 18 points and Senior Briar McIntire pitched in 14 in the losing effort for Archie.

Rich Hill will now run its record to 20-4 on the season as they get ready for district action next week on Osceola. Archie will move to 13-12 on the season.
