Teri Lea Riemenschneider, 68, Lake Annette, MO, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at Providence Place in Kansas City, KS. Private graveside services will be held at Freeman Cemetery in Freeman, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 400 S. Independence St., Harrisonville, MO 64701, in Teri’s honor.
Teri was born on June 14, 1955, in Marshalltown, IA, the daughter of John and Mary Jane (Justus) Riemenschneider. Teri was a cherished daughter, devoted family member, and the most loyal friend to everyone who knew her. Teri's journey through life was marked by her unwavering passion for music and the arts, a gift she shared generously with those around her. Graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1973, Teri continued her studies at the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory of Music and later obtained a Master's in Business Administration from Mid America Nazarene University. Teri settled into a career as a Collection Manager for Venture Financial Services until her well-earned retirement in 2018. Her commitment to excellence and compassion in her work touched the lives of many.
Teri was an active Girl Scout through High School. The organization and her Girl Scout sisters were dear to her heart throughout her life. Equally important to her was her family at the First Christian Church in Harrisonville, finding joy in community involvement and spiritual enrichment. She found solace and connection through music as a brilliant guitarist and singer, capable of playing an array of musical instruments. For decades, Teri called Lake Annette home, surrounded by the beauty of nature that she so deeply appreciated. Her yard was colored with beautiful flowers, most received from special people in her life.
Teri is survived by her mother, Mary Riemenschneider; her brother, Kim Riemenschneider; her nephew, Jacob (whom she lovingly called Rufus); her aunt, Virginia (Robert) King; her uncle, Jim (Sue) Justus; and many cousins, extended family and friends around the world.
