Chloe Lawson, Clinton High School and Ryland Oakes, Butler High School will be attending the Washington DC Youth Tour this June. Ronen Hilgenberg, Butler High School and Madison Kennedy, Butler High School (not pictured) will be attending the Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience (CYCLE) in Jefferson City in July. We are excited to have these four amazing students represent OVEC in these leadership opportunities.
The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour annually brings together around 1800 high school juniors from across the US in an all expenses paid trip to Washington DC to tour museums, visit America's most cherished monuments and meet elected officials all while learning more about electric cooperatives.
The Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience brings together some of the best and brightest young leaders from across Missouri. The focus is to show students more about electric cooperatives, teach leadership skills and experience Missouri state government.
