There was a stiff wind to go along with the stiff competition at Pleasant Hill on Wednesday, April 3rd. This is one of our most challenging meets we attend with mostly class 3 and 4 school participating.
We treat this as “mini state” and put athletes in fewer events so they are competing at their best. Despite entering fewer events, the boys finished fifth as a team with the girls finishing sixth.
There were several huge performances with the teams earning 9 medals (2 gold). Improvement was shown by several athletes with 9 new person records set, and not one, but TWO new school records were also set Freshman Kylee Dubray broke the school javelin record and Senior Dylan Davidson broke the 110m Hurdles record !
