On Tuesday May 7th around 1:25 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Johnson County along with Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a semi truck accident on Highway Z and NW 930th Road in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the southbound 2006 Mack Truck driven by 56 year old Joseph W. Haas of Prescott, Kansas traveled off the right side of the roadway. Mr. Haas overcorrected, and the truck then traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence.
Mr. Haas sustained serious injuries and he was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
