Card skimmer device located at Harrisonville gas station

On 6/21/2024, The Harrisonville Police Department took a report of a credit card skimmer device being located on a fuel pump at the Casey's General Store located at 1901 West Mechanic Street. These devices are used to steal an unsuspecting person’s debit or credit card data when they swipe their card for a purchase. 

This device was placed inside the machine where customers would insert their debit or credit cards. Customers complained that it was difficult to insert their cards into the machine for their purchase, which is how the device was then found. 

Officers are in the process of reviewing security camera footage to attempt identify the subject who placed the device at the pump.
