The Miami R-1 High School FFA Trap Team is proud to announce their receipt of the National Rifle Association (NRA) Foundation Teach Freedom and Friends of the NRA grant this year. The NRA Foundation provided nine 12-gauge shotguns for use in weekly competitions.
They also provided some gun cases necessary to transport the firearms, gun cleaning equipment, ear protection, eye protection, first aid kit and other maintenance firearm supplies. This is an amazing addition to our program. This allows students who do not have the necessary equipment, the ability to participate and learn a new skill, while learning to respect firearms and handle them safely. We are so thankful for NRA commitment to our community.
