Obituary - Linda Sue Rios

Linda Sue Rios, age 76 of Warsaw MO, went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 19th surrounded by family in Raymore MO.

Linda was born June 12th, 1948 to Calvin Lindsey Childers and Amanda Willene Bowen Childers in Hot Springs AR. She grew up in Carrollton MO as the oldest of 4 children. She is survived by her 2 brothers, Calvin Jr (Tim) and Jeffery, and preceded in death by her sister Carolyn.

Linda settled in Warsaw in the 1970's where in 1980 she met the love of her life Salvador Rios. They were married April 3rd 1981 and remained married until her passing. A wonderful example of love and commitment for all to follow, they truly completed each other.

Linda worked at the Warsaw Clinic for over 30 years before she retired in 2010. She loved serving others and was always open to listening to whatever anyone wanted to share with her.

Linda was committed to her Savior Jesus Christ, a prayer warrior that instilled the Word of the Lord to her entire family. "Faith, Family, Friends" easily described what was important to Linda. She demonstrated a sincere interest in each of these areas of her life every day.

Linda loved gardening and maintaining a beautiful home that upon every visit of family or friend you found a place to relax and feel at peace over a cup of coffee. She loved to check in with her family and friends every day over the phone to maintain the close bond she valued so much.

Linda is survived by her husband of over 43 years, Salvador Rios and her children Stephen O'Day of Raymore MO and Shelly Busick of Milton FL.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Amanda Hobbs of Grandview MO, Alexandra Berger of Aberdeen NC, Ashley Metscher of Milton FL, Stephanie O'Day of Raymore MO, Zachariah Busick of Panama City FL, and Siri Scott of Raleigh NC. In addition she is survived by 14 great grandchildren that knew and loved her as "Grammy".

Linda (Grammy) Rios will be missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as all of her friends. She will forever continue to reside in our hearts and memories until we are all gathered together again.
