Archie heading to the 8-Man Football Semi Final game after beating Lockwood again

The defending Missouri State High School 8-Man Football Champion Archie Whirlwinds (12-0) defeated the Lockwood Tigers (11-2) for the 2nd time this year today in the state quarterfinal game to move to 12-0 on the season.

Lockwood came out of the gates fired up and played a real action packed first half of football being led by Senior running back Nik Thieman and Sophomore quarterback Landry Ogden who made several big plays for the tigers. Lockwood was only trailing this game 26-22 at halftime.

Archie came out in the 2nd half and really dominated the tigers to cruise to a 44-28 victory. Archie was led today on offense today by Junior Tristan Leeper and Junior Jackson Kash who both made several big plays today to help the Whirlwinds get the win.

Archie will now get ready to face the Bishop LeBlond Golden Eagles (10-1) for the 2nd time this season. On September 27th Archie went to Bishop LeBlond and beat the Golden Eagles 38-14.

Bishop LeBlond is coming off one of the greatest games of the week after a thrilling 60-54 win over Rock Port. The game was tied 54-54 with 6 seconds left to play, Rock Port senior quarterback Corbyn Jakub heaved up a long ball to try and run out the clock and force overtime. But the ball was then intercepted by Bishop LeBlond Senior Trey Icke.

Icke then took off up the sideline, rather than run out of bounds, on Rock Port's 20 yard line, Icke lateraled the ball to senior Jackson Crews. Crews then took the ball the final 20 yards in for the game winning touchdown as the clock ran out to secure the win for the Golden Eagles.

Bishop LeBlond will be looking for some revenge as Archie is the only team to beat them this year. The game is set for Saturday November 30th at 1pm at Bishop LeBlond High School 3529 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO.

The winner of Archie and Bishop LeBlond will play the winner of Braymer and North Shelby for the Missouri State 8-Man Football Championship.
