Belton man injured after striking cow in the road way

On Sunday November 17th around 6:15 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Rich Hill Fire Department and Bates County EMS all responded to a truck that struck a cow on CR SW 6508 in rural Rich Hill.

The Missouri State Highway says the accident occurred when the eastbound 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 36 year old male from Belton, Missouri struck a cow in the roadway.

The male sustained minor injuries and he was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler for treatment. The truck was totaled and towed from the scene of the crash by Douty's Tow of Butler.
