Kelly Dawn Williams was born on June 16, 1978 the daughter of Richard and Sheila Williams, granddaughter of Cyril and Georgia Williams and Ray and Dorothy Clinton of Sikeston, Missouri.
Kelly was born with Myelomeningocele the most severe form of Spina Bifida. Although living with it is often difficult, she led an independent and fulfilling life with the help of her doctors, medical staff, family and friends. Her Mother and Father were both told she wouldn’t live to see her second birthday..it was a long haul..she had 46..only God knows!
Kelly earned her High School diploma in 1997 with letters in Cardinal Marching Band. A fellow classmate pushed and guided her wheelchair as Kelly played a clarinet. Kelly had achieved many things growing up, she could swim and was Red Cross certified, roller skate, was on a bowling team, drive a car, was in girl scouts went fishing with her dad, and even shot targets with a 22.
Kelly had a love for horses and enjoyed riding the trails at Mt Rushmore, Ghost Ranch and on a beautiful white horse watching the sun go down in Tucson, Arizona. And she got to ride at a local riding ranch. Her big smile told it all. Her wheelchair placed some limits but when power chairs and cell phone became part of her life the world changed. She came into this world with limits, she found a way, she didn't give up, she pressed on. Kelly loves Jesus and we find comfort in that, all limits have been lifted. She is free dancing for Jesus, nothing to hold her down now.
Kelly was preceded in the call to heaven by her brother Tim, both sets of grandparents, great Aunt Icel Merriman, her cousin Josh Clinton and many of her friends.
Survivors include her parents Richard and Sheila Williams, her uncle and aunt Ron and Linda Williams of Clinton, Missouri, her uncle and aunt Chuck and Liza Clinton of Shreveport, Louisiana, her cousins Michelle Mason, Melinda Owens, Chris Clinton and wife Jackie, Tiffany Clinton and many friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
