Frank John Hendricks, 80, Joplin, MO passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was born January 6, 1945 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Frank John Hendricks Jr and Helen Hendricks.
Survived by his wife, Dianna Hendricks; his children, Nathan Hendricks (wife Veronica) and Steven Hendricks (wife Steffanie), all of Mannford, OK, and Christy Keas (Billy), Broken Arrow, OK; stepchildren, Herschel Oliphant, Floyd Oliphant, and Glenda Cooper. Also survived by one sister, Christy Fyffe of Lexington, KY.
Survived by 16 grandchildren, Kassidy, Avery, Hailey, Bethany, Kellan, Anthony, Rickey, Joshua, Brandon, Patricia, Lily, Joshlynn, Ayden, Jacob, Melissa, and Zane; and 31 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janice; one granddaughter, Candice; and one great-granddaughter, Mayzlee.
He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam war while serving in the Army. He retired from Kwik Set Lock Sets and settled in Joplin, MO after retirement.
Frank was a devout Christian who held numerous bible studies, preached the gospel and shared his beliefs with many people over the years. Frank’s faith was central in his life. He found great purpose and fulfillment in nurturing his relationship with the Lord and sharing his love with everyone he met. He proudly and openly acknowledged his faith, leaving a legacy of compassion, kindness and devotion.
His hobbies included collecting coins and antiques, paintings, writing poetry, and studying the word of God.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada.
