Jeaneen Dukes Long, age 85, of Nevada, died Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her home in Nevada. She was born August 23, 1939, in Nevada, MO, to Ira and Leota (Reading) Dukes. She married the love of her life Ted Long on May 27, 1957, in Nevada.
Jeaneen lived in Nevada all of her life and graduated from Nevada High School in 1957. Upon graduation, she worked as a telephone operator, and then as an embroidery operator for Nelly Don. Her last job was in payroll for Key Industries in Nevada, where she worked for 18 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working her word games and telling jokes. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include one daughter, Kristi Feagan and her husband, Paul, Milo, MO; one son, Corey Long and his wife, Michelle, Nevada; grandchildren, Andrea Green (Ricky), Nevada, MO, and Casey Long (Christy), Blue Springs, MO; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Green, Nevada, Kaylee Green, Milo, MO, and Connor of Blue Springs, MO; two great-great grandsons, Lucas and Axel. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, one sister, and her grandson, P.J.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO.
