The Bates County Sheriff's Posse made a special appearance at the regular Adrian board of aldermen meeting tonight to make a special presentation to the city of Adrian in recognition of the city's support of the annual posse rodeo, which included a check for $1,000 for the city to use as needed for the park. Above, Mayor Matt Cunningham accepts a plaque of appreciation from Richard Cox, John Henry Jackson and Shelly Harrison. Below, Fire Chief Gary Dizney accepts recognition on behalf of the Adrian rural fire department for their support and services to the posse as well. Harrison expressed additional thanks to the city of Adrian for installing new lighting at the arena as well as other improvements making the park and arena an ideal location to hold events.
