Midway schools break ground for bond issue project

 

On Monday May 12, the Midway R-1 School District held a groundbreaking ceremony for Project Midway Forward, a bond issue passed by the voters in August of 2024 for improvements to the school district's facilities. After months of input, planning, design iteration, feedback, bidding, logistics, and general problem-solving, work has begun on the project! This work will continue through the summer and will continue into the fall of 2025.

The Midway R-1 School District would like to thank everyone involved in the project, from those who gave input on the design to the campaign committee who helped get the word out. The district especially appreciates the vote of confidence from our voters who approved the project.
