Whirwinds taking 8 man FB to all new level

 Few programs in Missouri football have commanded respect the way Archie has since moving to 8-man. The Whirlwinds haven’t just been good — they’ve been downright dominant, racking up an incredible 63-6 record along with back-to-back state titles over the past two years, going a perfect 28-0 in that span.

Even after a narrow 38-36 setback against a highly ranked Lockwood/Golden City team to open the season, Archie has looked every bit like a dynasty in the making. Since that loss, the Whirlwinds have roared back with three straight wins, overwhelming opponents by a combined score of 239-52 and reminding everyone why they remain the standard in 8-man football.

Head coach Drew Smith credits the success to the team’s relentless drive, telling Tailgate TV, “We focus on ourselves and push ourselves to become a better team each week compared to the last.”
