On October 14, the defendant appeared before Judge Julie Highley-Keutzer for arraignment where he entered a plea of not guilty.
Currently Tarvin is being held in the Bates county jail on a $250,000 cash only bond with a condition to not have contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Due to the nature of the charge, Tarvin could receive a life sentence under Missouri statute.
