Last night around 8:15 pm, a 7 year old Rich Hill male received what are described as minor injuries in an ATV accident near 200 East Park street in Rich Hill after the child's clothing became entangled in the handlebars of the vehicle. The 41 year old driver of the ATV was not injured; the child was transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for treatment. The Rich Hill fire department was assisted on scene by Bates County EMS.
The highway patrol no longer provides names in publicly available accident reports.
