Fire damages Rich Hill home earlier today

This morning at 11:39 a.m., the Rich Hill Fire Department (RHFD) was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 1000 block of South 4th Street. Upon arrival, crews discovered that nearby fire hydrants were frozen and unusable.

RHFD immediately requested tanker support from the Butler and Compton Junction Fire Departments. Firefighters made entry and quickly knocked down the flames inside the home while additional crews worked to extinguish the fire underneath the residence.
