Fentanyl is not just another drug. It is a synthetic opioid up to 50x stronger than heroin and 100x stronger than morphine, and it continues to drive a large portion of overdose deaths across the country.
Here’s what people need to understand:
• Just 2 milligrams—an amount small enough to fit on the tip of a pencil—can be lethal
• Fentanyl is often mixed into other substances (including pills, cocaine, and meth) without the person even knowing
• Many individuals who overdose had no idea they were exposed to fentanyl
• This is impacting teens, adults, first responders, and families at an alarming rate
This is not about judgment. This is about awareness, education, and prevention.
