Donna Maciel, former Director of Bates County Industries in Butler, MO., is set for arraignment in the Bates County Circuit Court on August 24, 2026 at 1 pm before Judge M. Brandon Baker.
Maciel is accused of stealing just over $200,000 from Bates County Industries, a sheltered workshop, while serving as Director from October 2007 through the summer of 2021. She is currently free on bond and is being represented by attorney Norman Napier of Belton, MO.
