Driver facing charges following death of passenger in Bates county crash

Orlando Alejandre Solis 37, of San Luis AZ has been charged with DWI, Death of another { Felony C RSMo: 577.010 } following an accident that occurred in the early morning hours on July 13 on 52 highway west of Butler.

According the MSHP, Alejandre Solis was arrested following the crash that claimed the life of a 35 year old female passenger and placed under arrest for 1. DWI involving the death of another 2. Careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.

He is currently being held in the Bates County jail on a $100,000 cash only bond and has requested a bond reduction per Assistant Public Defender, Jason Speer.
