One injured in Henry County accident involving road grader

On 6/28/16 around 8:50am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a two vehicle accident involving a road grader at CR SE 100 and Missouri 7 Highway in rural Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2011 Ford driven by 28 year old Kelly R. Bethel of Warsaw, Missouri attempted to pass a 1990 John Deere Road Grader driven by 63 year old James A. Bradford of Clinton, Missouri at it was attempting to make a left hand turn causing the vehicle to strike.

Kelly R. Bethel sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported by private vehicle to St. Lukes Hospital.

The 2011 Ford sustained moderate damage in this accident ant towed from the scene by Cole Tire and Battery.

Harrisonville woman injured in Cass County accident

Around 4:35pm this evening the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with the Cass County Sheriffs Office responded to a two vehicle accident on I-49 Southbound at Mile Marker 173 in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2012 Lexus driven by 28 year old Emily D. Stephens of Harrisonville, Missouri attempted to change lanes causing both vehicles to exit the roadway and causing the Lexus to strike a 2007 Chevrolet driven by 43 year old Steven H. Johnson of Peculiar, Missouri.

Emily Stephens sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Belton Regional Medical Center.

Both vehicles sustained minor injuries and no tow was needed.

Update: female suspect arrested in disturbance call‏ in Schell City

A female suspect has been identified and arrested in the disturbance call early Sunday morning in Schell City.

The female was identified as 33 year old Ivy L. Stevens.
 
Ms. Stevens is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond for Property Damage 1st Degree.

Two arrested in St. Clair County

On June 21, Jacob Harper, 25, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony domestic assault-second degree. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.
The charge stems from an incident on May 30 when Harper allegedly assaulted a female victim during an argument. Harper allegedly grabber the female by her arms and threw her down onto a bed and put his hands around her neck and squeezed tightly, choking her.

On June 23, Michael Parmalee, 36, Lowry City, was arrested by Lowry City Police Department on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on an unclassified misdemeanor of driving while revoked second or subsequent. Bond is set at $3,500 cash or surety.
The original charge stems from an investigation on Feb. 24 when a St. Clair County deputy made a traffic stop at the intersection of Fourth Street and Hancock Street, Lowry City, for careless driving. Contact was made with Parmalee, who was driving the vehicle and a check revealed his driver’s license is revoked.



Clinton man arrested on Felony Possession of a controlled substance

On June 22, William Goodwin, 50, Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety. 

The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day on NE 364 Road, Osceola. 

During the investigation a glass pipe with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located under the driver's front seat of Goodwin’s vehicle.


El Dorado Springs man charged with statutory rape that occured in Appleton City

On June 25, Roger Dutcher, 42, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him four unclassified felony charges, statutory rape-fist degree-sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years-old, attempted statutory rape-first degree-attempt sexual intercourse with another person under 14 years-old, and two counts of statutory sodomy-first degree-deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years-old. Total bond is set at $100,000 cash only.

The warrant was issued on June 17 and the charges stem from a El Dorado Springs Police Department investigation that started in May 2015 of an incident that allegedly occurred in Appleton City on October 1, 2010.








Rockville man arrested on Vernon County Warants

On June 24, Jesse Schellhamer, 36, Rockville, was arrested on a Vernon County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original misdemeanor charge of passing a bad check. 

Bond is set at $425 cash only. The warrant was issued in January 2012.
