Stolen Vehicle In Butler

Stolen Vehicle Alert: 1999 Ford Escort coupe 2 door black in color the hood and top of car faded and it has a temp tag on it stolen off of Atkinson Street around 11 pm to 12 pm last night.

Elevated Fire Danger Today

Fire danger concerns remain in place today with low humidity values and dry surfaces. 

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Conditions will improve Saturday as humidity increases and winds slacken.













Butler Rotary Club Ham & Bean or Chili Dinner Tonight

The Butler Rotary Club will be hosting their annual Ham & Bean or Chili Dinner. This will take place on February 17th from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Butler High School Cafeteria. 

Tickets can be purchased for $6 for adults and $3 for children from any rotary member. 

All proceeds go towards projects involving students of the Butler School system.











City of Harrisonville Job Opening







One arrested in Garden City

Yesterday evening Officers of the Garden City Police Department receive reports of a dangerous driver southbound on 7 Hwy. Officers follow the vehicle and stop it in the 100 block of Fir Street. 

The vehicle was driven by a 42 year old man from Independence, Mo. A records check of the driver revealed a felony warrant for his arrest out of Henry County.

Illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered during an inventory of his vehicle. The Independence man was taken into custody and transported to the Cass County Jail.

Congratulations to the 8th grade Nevada Tigers boys basketball team for winning the Tri County Championship with a impressive 13-1 record. Tonight they beat the Webb City Cardinals 45-21 in the championship! - Coach Lance Sargent is a Butler resident
