Garden City Police Department Discover Man with Multiple Warrants During Traffic Stop
At about 4:00 Sunday afternoon, Officers of the Garden City Police Department stopped a vehicle with expired license plates at 307th & Sycamore Grove Road.
A records check of the driver a 46 year old man from Garden City revealed his driver's license was suspended. Further investigation revealed multiple warrants for his arrest through Cass County.
The man was cited for driving while suspended, Fail to register a motor vehicle, Unlawful use of plates, No Insurance and transported to the Cass County Jail.

Survivors include his parents, Ft. Scott; two sons, Tyler and Tanner Meek, Ft. Scott; a daughter, Courtney Meek, Ft. Scott; a sister, Lisa Ann Meek, Ft. Kansas City man arrested in Bates County
On 3/19/17 around 2:52am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 33 year old Brandon C. Daniels of Kansas City, Missouri.Mr. Daniels was arrested for 1.) Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Careless and Imprudent Driving resulting in a motor vehicle accident.
He was booked into the Bates County Jail and placed on a 12 hour hold.

Obituary - Jennifer Jo (Stevens) Shaw
Jennifer Jo (Stevens) Shaw, 38, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Friday March 17, 2017 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. Jennifer was born January 29, 1979 at Lawton, Oklahoma on the Fort Sill Army Base to Virgil and Brenda (Kurtz) Stevens. Jennifer graduated from Olathe North High School in Olathe and worked for several years as a manager of a Salvation Army Thrift Store. She married Jason Shaw on March 15, 1999. He survives.
Jennifer's dedication to her church and her community was well known. She was an accomplished photographer and a very creative person. Jennifer loved all children and enjoyed being room mother for her four children where she was known for turning every day events into extraordinary experiences. Jennifer was preceded in death by one son, Travis Shaw on November 20, 2001, and her mother, Brenda Stevens on July 21, 2005. Jennifer is survived by two sons, Isaac and Nicholas Shaw; two daughters, Gracie and Emily Shaw; two sisters, Crystal Stevens and Gina Faulkner; and her father, Virgil Stevens.
The family suggests memorials to Jennifer Stevens Shaw Memorial Fund, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 525, Pleasanton, KS 66075. The family has established an account at gofundme.com.

Pleasanton Kansas woman killed after rollover accident
On 3/17/17 shortly after 9:30am the Kansas State Highway Patrol in Bourbon County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on US 69 Highway around 10 miles North of Ft. Scott, Kansas.
The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a tire blew on the 1999 Ford Explorer driven by 16 year old Austin Faulkner of Kansas City, Kansas causing the vehicle to veer off the west side of the ditch, overturning twice and ejecting the passenger.
The passenger in the vehicle 38 year old Jennifer Shaw of Pleasanton, Kansas was killed in this accident and she was transported to Frontier Forensics.
Mr. Faulkner wasn't injured in this accident and the vehicle was towed from the scene by GP Express.
