Obituary - Curtis Lee Meek

Curtis Lee Meek
Curtis Lee Meek, age 40, resident of Ft. Scott, KS, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He was born on October 6, 1976, the son of Harry Lee Meek and Bonnie Mann Meek. He graduated from Fort Scott High School. He married Misty Bartlett in Ft. Scott. They later divorced. Curtis worked at Miller’s Feed for several years and carried mail. He greatly enjoyed attending swap meets, looking for poultry related items. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan who loved animals. He cherished spending time with his children.

Survivors include his parents, Ft. Scott; two sons, Tyler and Tanner Meek, Ft. Scott; a daughter, Courtney Meek, Ft. Scott; a sister, Lisa Ann Meek, Ft. Scott; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chandos and Vera Mann, and Frank and Virginia “Tootie” Meek.

Rev. Larry Stevicks will conduct graveside services at 10:30 Tuesday, March 21st, in the East Liberty Cemetery, Stotesbury, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Monday evening at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Curtis Meek memorial fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, PO Box 347, 201 S. Main, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
