Eric Mitchell Landoll, 48, Nevada, MO passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.
Eric was born on July 15, 1968 in Monett, MO to Gerald F. and Virginia May (Henry) Landoll. Eric graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1986, received his Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri Southern State College and in 1994 he earned a law degree from Missouri University at Columbia. Eric practiced law in Nevada for many years. He married Angela Lynn Huber on June 1, 1996 in Nevada. Eric will be remembered by his family as being a devoted husband and father. His life centered around his children and their activities. He enjoyed teaching his children how to hunt, fish, cook and enjoy the outdoors. He especially loved to travel on family vacations.
In addition to his wife, Angie, he is survived by his three children, Abigail Landoll, Clay Landoll and Carter Landoll all of the home; two brothers, Brad Landoll and Damon Zilliox; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell Landoll.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in the United Methodist Church, Nevada, with Rev. Sharon Freeman and Pastor David McKinley officiating. Family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel. Those who wish may contribute in Eric’s memory to the Nevada R-5 Scholarship Foundation in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Rich Hill woman killed in Henry County Fatality Accident
On 4/8/17 around 4:54pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County responded to a two vehicle fatality accident on Missouri 52 Highway at Route K west of Montrose.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1993 Nissan driven by 57 year old Lisa K. Tucker of Rich Hill, Missouri failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of the 2015 Peterbilt semi truck driven by 50 year old James C. Lipe of Windsor, Missouri.
Lisa K. Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Henry County Coroner Office and she was transported to Vanzant Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
Mr. Lipe sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Impact Tow and Golden Valley Wrecker.
This is the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop A 21st Fatality Accident of 2017.

One arrested after fleeing on foot from a traffic stop in Butler
The Butler Police Department took a unknown male subject into custody this evening after a traffic stop in the area of Ft. Scott Street and Deleware Street in Butler.
The subject who was known by officers to have a revoked drivers license and several prior arrests attempted to flee from the officers on foot.
A taser and OC Spray was deployed to help subdue the subject and he was taken into police custody and transported to the Bates County Jail without further incident.
Mid America Live News will update this when more information and the subjects name is made available to us from the Butler Police Department.

Update: Missing woman from Kansas found safe

Within an hour of being entered into the national computer database and within 30 minutes of posting on FaceBook, our missing person was safely located in Waynesville, Missouri, almost 200 driving miles from home and near Ft. Leonard Wood.

He preceded her in death, and she then married Forrest Kerr. He also preceded her in death. Valeta had worked as a receptionist for Social and Rehabilitation Services in Arkansas. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a member of the Community Christian Church.
Survivors include a sons, Larry Hicks and wife, Jessie, of Ft. Scott, Brent Kerr and wife, Leona, of Van Buren, Arkansas, Tom Kerr and wife, Deborah, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Jim Kerr and wife, Emily, of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister, Leota Bradford of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant son, David Hicks; two sisters and a brother.
Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 14th at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the chapel. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Ft. Scott, Kansas. Nevada man escapes injury after two vehicle accident in St. Clair County
On 4/7/17 around 8:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Missouri 54 Highway and Business 13 highway in Collins, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2011 Dodge Dakoda driven by 78 year old Ronald C. Smith of Nevada, Missouri pulled into the path of the 2002 Chevrolet Impala driven by 52 year old Renee J. Srch of Collins, Missouri.
Renee J. Srch sustained moderate injuries and she was transported by ambulance to CMH in Bolivar, Missouri for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Mike's Tow.

Search continues for missing Kansas woman
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating a Moran, Kansas woman missing since Friday afternoon.
Donna McCall, 72, drove from her home SE of Moran around 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon and has not been seen since.
McCall has shown signs of and takes medication for Alzheimer's and has not driven in about a year.
She is described as 5’5″, 165 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a purple or brown sweatshirt and blue jeans. She was driving a maroon 2012 Ford Taurus four-door sedan with Kansas Veteran license plate 81744
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
