Two from Appleton City arrested in St. Clair County


On April 25, Alisha Ward, 27, Appleton City, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants charging her with failing to pay fines on ordinance violations of driving without a license and no insurance. The warrants were issued on Sept. 20, 2016 and total bond is set at $400 cash only. The charges stems from an Appleton City Police Department investigation May 19, 2016

On April 25, Keith Bailey, 32, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued the same day and bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety. The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force investigation the previous day at Bailey’s residence on East Third Street, Appleton City. During the investigation marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine were located.

Hume man arrested in Dallas County

On 4/29/17 around 5:56pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Dallas County arrested 23 year old Wylie J. Miller of Hume, Missouri.

Mr. Miller was arrested for 1.) Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Careless and Imprudent Driving 3.) No Insurance.

He was booked into the Dallas County Jail and he later bonded out.

Two seriously injured, One dead after Hickory County crash

On 4/30/17 around 4:04am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Hickory County responded to a one vehicle fatality accident on Missouri 54 Highway in Preston.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1998 Toyota Camry driven by 19 year old Dustin B. Burlingame of Eldorado Springs, Missouri ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole then a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle 20 year old Steven L. Thomson of Jericho Springs, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Hickory County Coroner's Office.

Mr. Burlingame along with another passenger in his vehicle 18 year old Dylon D. Johnson of Eldorado Springs, Missouri both sustained serious injuries in this accident and both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Defreece Towing. This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 32nd Fatality accident of 2017.
