Nevada Police looking for stolen dirt bike
Nevada Police are attempting to locate the following Honda motor sport bike. This particular bike has several custom features from BBR Motorsports including a 150cc Daytona engine.

Obituary - Glen Edward Askew
Glen Edward Askew, 91 of Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away February 3, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler, Missouri (660-679-0009). There will be no visitation. Burial will follow services in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.
Memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers, to the Missouri Dept. of Conservation. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com
Glen Edward Askew was born December 18, 1926 in Adrian, MO. to Posey and Elizabeth Hanners Askew. He grew up on a farm outside of Adrian with four siblings. Glen was united in marriage to Marjorie Clark on September 5, 1948. To this union three daughters were born.
Glen and Marjorie moved to Independence, MO. where he began working for General Motors and started a construction business of his own. He built many houses and apartments in the Kansas City and Eagle Rock, MO. areas. Glen stayed close to his family roots through his Century Farm in Adrian.
Glen retired from General Motors after a 30 year career and moved to Eagle Rock, MO. to fish, and later developed a love for golf. He was able to enjoy the game well into his 80’s. As life continued and he began to age he loved to feed and watch the birds on his deck. Glen was a devoted member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church as well as the Cassville First Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher for many years. Glen was known for his “Michigan Salad” that he regularly brought to the senior luncheons at First Baptist.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Askew, brothers James, Don, and Howard, and by his sister Doris, and by his grandson Jacob Stiles. He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Briscoe (Ed), Rhonda Askew, and Sondra Branham (David), grandchildren, Kyle Kerr, Emily Lococo, Amelia DeLuca, Courtney Briscoe, and Clark Briscoe, great-grandchildren, Landon Lococo, Eleanor DeLuca, and Nina DeLuca, along with nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Family was always important to Glen and he will be forever remembered as a good and gentle man.

Gunshot leads to arrest in Rockville
On February 3, 2018 at approximately 2307 hours a Deputy responded to 301 Bates in Rockville, MO for reports of a disturbance in progress that involved a gun. Dispatch advised the Deputy that shots were fired.
When the Deputy arrived on the scene at the Rockville Bar he observed several people standing outside. A witness stated that a fight had happened and one of the guys pulled a gun and shot it in the air. The subject who had fired the gun had left the scene in a black car. Another witness handed the Deputy a Kel-Tech 9mm handgun. The Deputy located a spent 9mm casing on the ground.
The Deputy located the victim who stated that he and the suspect, identified as Brandon Daniels (DOB 4/30/1983), had gotten into an argument about a girl. The argument became heated and Daniels said he wanted to go outside. Once outside Daniels struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and they began fighting. The victim stated that Daniels then pointed a gun in the air and discharged the firearm. The firearm then jammed and several people tackled Daniels. The firearm fell to the ground and someone kicked it away from Daniels. Daniels then got into a black car and fled the scene.
At approximately 0014 hours Dispatch advised the Deputy that El Dorado Springs Police Department had Daniels in custody. Daniels was then transported to the Bates County Jail and was put on a 24 hour investigative hold.
Brandon Daniels was later charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. His bond was set at $25000.00 cash or surety.
Two year old Texas boy injured in Bates County crash
On 2/4/18 around 11:30am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on I-49 at Mile Marker 130.8 in the Butler area.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2013 Kia Optima driven by 21 year old Bailey C. Fountain of Nacogdoches, Texas began to slide on ice covered roadways before traveling off the right side of the roadway and striking a rock bluff.
Two passengers in the vehicle 2 year old Bentley K. Fountain and 21 year old Chaire E. Pinkston both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Douty's Tow of Butler, Missouri.
