Gunshot leads to arrest in Rockville

On February 3, 2018 at approximately 2307 hours a Deputy responded to 301 Bates in Rockville, MO for reports of a disturbance in progress that involved a gun.  Dispatch advised the Deputy that shots were fired.
 
When the Deputy arrived on the scene at the Rockville Bar he observed several people standing outside.  A witness stated that a fight had happened and one of the guys pulled a gun and shot it in the air.  The subject who had fired the gun had left the scene in a black car.  Another witness handed the Deputy a Kel-Tech 9mm handgun.  The Deputy located a spent 9mm casing on the ground.  

The Deputy located the victim who stated that he and the suspect, identified as Brandon Daniels (DOB 4/30/1983), had gotten into an argument about a girl.  The argument became heated and Daniels said he wanted to go outside.  Once outside Daniels struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and they began fighting.  The victim stated that Daniels then pointed a gun in the air and discharged the firearm.  The firearm then jammed and several people tackled Daniels.  The firearm fell to the ground and someone kicked it away from Daniels.  Daniels then got into a black car and fled the scene.  

At approximately 0014 hours Dispatch advised the Deputy that El Dorado Springs Police Department had Daniels in custody.  Daniels was then transported to the Bates County Jail and was put on a 24 hour investigative hold.  

Brandon Daniels was later charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  His bond was set at $25000.00 cash or surety.
