Charles Raymond "BUCK" Grosshart, 77 of Adrian, Missouri died Tuesday, April 24 2018 at his home. Graveside Memorial Services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Mullin Cemetery near Urich, Missouri.
Charles Raymond "BUCK" Grosshart was born March 8, 1941 in Bates County, Missouri the son of Orva Brien Grosshart and Dorothy Hooper Grooshart.
Buck Grew up in Ballard, Missouri before moving to Ruskin Heights, Amsterdam, Butler and Adrian. He attended school in Ballard and received a GED before serving in the United States Army. Buck worked as a mechanic at General Motors, Barr Motors and also owned his own mechanic shop. He attended the Cove Creek Christian Church. He was always a hard worker as well as a loving and caring person. Buck enjoyed working on race cars as well as driving them. He also enjoyed tractor pulls and working with horses. He played the guitar
Buck is survived by son Clint Grosshart and wife Brenda of Adrian; two daughters Monica Grosshart of Garden City, MO and Jill Grosshart of Harrisonville, MO. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jr. Grosshart, sister Sandra Persinger and daughter Charlene Grosshart.

Garden City woman injured in Cass County accident
On 5/1/18 around 7:58pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a two vehicle accident on F Highway at Missouri 7 Highway in rural Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2014 Chevrolet driven by Lawrence S. Zink of Overland Park, Kansas struck the drivers side of the 2007 Mazda driven by 28 year old Monika R.Grosshart of Garden City, Missouri.
Monika R. Grosshart sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Cass Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Johnson's Tow of Harrisonville.

Obituary - Drue Helen Coonce
Drue Helen Coonce, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 29, at the age of 94. Arrangements are under direction of the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services are scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Moment of Truth Baptist Church in Kansas City with burial scheduled at 4:00 p.m. in the Papinville, Mo. Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled between six and eight o'clock Wednesday evening, May 2, at the Moment of Truth Baptist Church in Kansas City.
Obituary - Robert Clay Williams
Robert Clay Williams, 85, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO following a lengthy illness. Bob was born July 10, 1932 in Walker, MO to John Henry and Jessie Alice (Tons) Williams.
Bob was raised in Walker and graduated from Bronaugh High School Class of 1950. He served in the United States Army from December 1952 to December 1954 in Korea during the Korean War. Bob received numerous medals including a Bronze Service Star. He returned to the Hepler – Girard, KS area where he farmed and raised Charolais Cattle most of his life. Following retirement he came to Nevada where he continued to reside. Bob was a member of the Community Christian Church in Nevada. He was also a member of VFW #2175 and the American Legion Post #2 of Nevada. Bob was especially proud his trip to Washington D.C. with the South Coffey County High School Honor Flight.
In 1961 he married Bettie Jean Martin and together they had four children which include, R. Scott Williams and his wife Bobbi, Columbus, KS, Todd Williams and his wife Kim, Dallas, TX, Tonettie Westerlin and her husband Dick, San Antonio, TX, Stephaen Williams and his wife Shirley, Franklin, KS. Also surviving are ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Williams and his wife Marvelyn, Ft. Scott, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Walker, MO.
Memorials are suggested to Parsons High School Honor Flight in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.

Update: Three arrested in Nevada search warrant
In the morning hours of Tuesday, May 1, 2018 Nevada Police executed a search warrant in the 400 block of N. Ash Street in response to reports of illegal drug activity at that location.
Officers had developed information regarding a known male subject at that location that had reportedly been involved in illegal drug activity.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with multiple subjects on the property. During the initial contact officers encountered four known subjects inside a vehicle in the driveway.
Altogether, Nevada Police located nine individuals during the search. It was discovered one of the subjects had outstanding warrants for his arrest from Webb City (MO).
Nevada Police located and seized suspected illegal drugs and suspected drug paraphernalia at the scene. Suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana were located amongst the subjects.
The suspected drug evidence seized will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.
Three subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding by Nevada Police. The three subjects were identified as follows:
Otis McCullick, age of 53 of Nevada
Clint Carney, age 38 of Nevada
Autumn Fry, age 27 of Joplin
On May 1, 2018, the following charges were filed against Otis McCullick through the Vernon County Associate Court:
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Class D Felony
McCullick is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
On May 1, 2018 the following charges were filed against Autumn Fry through the Vernon County Associate Court:
Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class D Felony
Fry is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
On May 1, 2018 the following charges were filed against Clint Carney through the Vernon County Associate Court:
Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, prior offender – Class A Misdemeanor
Carney is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $2,500 cash only bond in addition to outstanding arrest warrants from Webb City (MO).
