Vernon County Sheriffs Office Help Identify; Have you seen this tattoo?

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office is seeking help in identifying a suspect in a theft. The suspect is described as a small framed white male in the mid 20's with med-long brown hair, and a tattoo of "loyalty" on the left side of his neck, and "respect" on the right side of his neck. 

He also has two tear drop tattoos under his right eye. If anyone has any information on the suspects identity, please contact Detective Barker at 417-283-4399 or dispatch at 417-667-6042

Harrisonville Police Seeking Public Assistance

While it looks like this track suited guy is ready to go out for a run, he instead was leaving Walmart in Harrisonville after using someone else's identity to run off with three I-Phones.

2019 Butler Street Project has started

The 2019 Butler Street Project has started on Dakota Street this morning. Check out the list of roads that will be repaired below:

To bee or not to bee?

Just recently, bees living in Summit School were moved to a new home. Bee keepers came and removed the bees, comb containing baby bees and took them to new permanent hives near Drexel. The bees have been at the school for a long time- you can see the comb attached to the walls of the school. Tasty honey dripped from the comb attached to boards in the wall. The comb and bees were put in carriers for transport and the honey saved. We'll miss their buzzing around but know they're off to a good home! The Appleton City Board of Aldermen have approved the shooting of fireworks off inside the city limits from dusk on July 1st thru 11 p.m. on July 7th. We do ask for your working neighbors that you be courteous & not shoot fireworks after 11 pm nightly.

Busy night for Butler Rotary Club

The 2019 Butler Rotary Club annual banquet  brought a big crowd as featured speaker was Dan Meers, known better as mascot KC Wolf.

Also during the evening Dr. Curtis Long was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award; Stacey Lawson earned Rotarian of the Year.

A huge thank you goes to all who attended and helped make the evening informative and enjoyable.
