An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued from 1PM Wed to 8PM Sat for the area.

Please take precautions and remember to check on the elderly, sick, or those who do not have AC as the higher temperatures at night will not allow them much relief.

Floyd Allen Herrell age 89 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Monday, July 15, 2019 at his home surrounded with family and love.

Services are pending under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Obituary - Wilma Marie Snyder

Wilma Marie Snyder, 90, formerly of Bronaugh, MO passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Wilma was born August 18, 1928 in Moundville, MO to Erich and Amanda (Kuhlman) Fengler. She married Eugene Snyder on October 20, 1946 in San Jose, CA and he survives of the home.

Wilma grew up in Moundville and graduated from Bronaugh High School Class of 1947. Following her marriage to Gene she became a homemaker and together they raised their four children. Wilma enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and being with her family. She was a member of the Bronaugh Methodist Church, and a longtime member of the Drywood Women’s Club.

In addition to her husband Gene, she is survived by four children, Steve Snyder and his wife Joy, Warsaw, MO, Ron Snyder and his wife Kathy, Ft. Scott, KS, Julie Gorman and her husband Philip, Ft. Scott, KS, and Monte Snyder and his wife Jennifer, Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Erin, Patrick, Brian, Eric, Matt; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Lori; two sisters and one brother.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Worsley Cemetery in Bronaugh. Friends may call on noon Wednesday and until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials are suggested in her memory to Worsley Cemetery Association in c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Work on the ditches on West Pine Street will be occurring on Thursday, July 18, 2019. The work will include the replacement of culverts at S. Missouri and S. Ohio Street.

The Raymore Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at 1709 Cody Dr, Raymore at 7:30 AM on 07/16/2019.

Missing Is:
Leslie Fay Hardy a white female, age 57

Vehicle Information:
Teal 2003 Ford Focus bearing MO, BD7B9J

The endangered missing person:
Leslie Fay Howard, is a white female, age 57, hgt 5'8", 140 lbs, gray hair, green eyes, fair complexion. Clothing unknown.

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Missing Person incident:


Hardy left her residence to go to a gas station in Belton and has not returned. This occurred on a previous occasion and she was found in Oklahoma at that time. Hardy has multiple medical and cognitive issues and does not have her medications with her.


Anyone seeing the missing person or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Raymore Police Department at 816-331-0530.
