Obituary - Randy Delmar Winburn

Randy Delmar Winburn, 76, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, passed away November 23, 2019 in Palm Springs, CA. 

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Butler Christian Church in Butler, MO. Randy’s final resting place will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, MO.

Randy was born March 21, 1943, to Roberta and Vernon Winburn of Lee’s Summit, MO. He grew up in Lee’s Summit, MO, Tampa, FL and Boston, MA, as his parents raised and raced greyhounds during his young childhood. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1961, attended Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, MO and graduated in 1965 from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ with a BS in Business Administration.

Randy met Pamela Fry in college at Warrensburg, MO, and they were married December 27, 1964. Randy began serving 6 years in the Army National Guard shortly after his marriage. Randy and Pam were blessed with two daughters, JoDee and Jackie, and one son Jeff. Randy loved coaching Jeff’s Little League football teams, and coaching and cheering on his daughters in volleyball, basketball and softball. While raising his family in Butler, he and his family were members of the First Christian Church. After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, he and Pam became members of the Lake Presbyterian Church at Osage Beach.

Randy managed to have several successful careers in his lifetime. He was a natural salesman, and sold pharmaceuticals in Kansas City, and men’s clothing (The Country Squire) which he co-owned with his mother, Roberta in Butler. He sold automobiles for Kahn Transportation in Butler, small to large boats for Port Arrowhead in the Lake of the Ozarks, and then moved into real estate at the Lake. He most recently served as a partner in Diamond Bay Car Wash at the Lake.

Randy made friends easily and was happiest when he and Pam entertained friends or family. He enjoyed playing and watching sports and loved to make things interesting by having a small wager on the outcome. His love of bass fishing took him all over the U.S. Randy had years of enjoyment playing golf, fishing for crappie, hunting for quail, dove and ducks. He, Pam and family enjoyed traveling and witnessing the wonders of Europe, Africa and Asia.

Randy had recently moved back to Raymore, MO, with Pam, to be closer to family members and long-time friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jeff. He is survived by his wife, Pam, two daughters, JoDee Fink and husband, Allen, of Amsterdam, MO, and Jackie Winburn and spouse, Rosanne of Seattle, WA, along with one brother, Larry Winburn and wife, Carol Ann, of Butler, MO. Randy’s grandchildren include Samantha Fink, Dylan Fink and wife, September, Cadent Winburn and Hanna Winburn, as well as one great-grandson Zachary Fink.

Obituary - Mary J. "Jerrie" Holden

Mary J. "Jerrie" Holden, 84, Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville.

She is survived by her hsuband, John D. Holden of the home; a son, Joe McConnell, Anchorage, Alaska; two daughers, Michelle Holden and husband Jason Needham, Kansas City, Kansas, Heather Bandi and husband Srinivas, Ft. Collins, Colorado; 7 grandchildren; a great-grandson; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2700 E. Mechanic Street, Harrisonville, Missouri with cremation to follow the service.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harriosnville, Missouri with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.


Obituary - Evelyn McKellips

Evelyn McKellips age 80, Stockton, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at her home in Stockton, Missouri. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com

Funeral service will be on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 11am with visitation one hour prior at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Filly Christian Church, Stockton, Missouri and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Evelyn Annette (Weaver) McKellips was born in Clinton, Missouri on September 14, 1939 to Charles Bud and Anna Mae (Wood) Weaver. She lived in Deepwater most of her life until she moved to Stockton 4 years ago. In her younger years she was a Baton Twirler. Evelyn loved the Deepwater Labor Day Harvest Picnic and Parade, she was the Grand Marshall of the Parade one time. She loved her family, kids and grandchildren, they were around her all of the time, she would make her family Christmas gifts and loved to quilt and do crafts. Evelyn never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She retired from Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in the Billing Department. Evelyn was a member of the Filley Christian Church, Stockton and attended Northeast Baptist Church, Clinton.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Anna Mae (Wood) Weaver, infant son, Troy Clayton McKellips, granddaughter, Frankie Foster, great-grandson, Wesley McKellips and her brother, Doug Weaver.

Evelyn is survived by daughter, Lea Anna (Jack) Foster, Stockton, Missouri son, Ronnie (Kelly) McKellips, La Cygne, Kansas and daughter Sharon Tarwater, Miller, Missouri, grandchildren, Christie (Chris) Foster, Brady (Amanda) Foster, Taylor (Ryan) Hylton, Callie (Bob) Schenker, Laramie (Lauren) Foster, Jacob (Meagan) McKellips, Colton McKellips, Kasi (Benson) Trampus, Jessi Tarwater, Justin Tarwater, Jake Tarwater and Knox Tarwater, great-grandchildren, Paytan, Sarina and Presley Foster, Janalee, Owen and Wren Foster, Avery Hylton, Lawcyn Schenker, Hannah Foster, Lewis and Lyle McKellips, Cody and Cade Trampus, and Sammie, Shelbie and Sara Tarwater.

Sawyer Edward Gauge Schick was born on December 2, 2019 at 6:10pm at the Nevada Regional Medical Center.

He weighed in at 8lbs. 4oz and he was 21 inches long.
