While snow brings the potential for hazardous travel, it also brings beauty only seen a few times a year. This view of the entrance to the Bates County Museum pretty much says it all. Our thanks to Peggy Buhr

    4-H fundraiser coming next month

Friends, Bates County Extension is blessed with some of the best people who support us. We have received another quilt for our live auction. This queen size Lexington Sampler quilt was made and donated by Cheryl Mohr. Come out on March 7 to the Adrian Optimist Building and help keep 4-H in Bates County. - submitted

    Bulldogs headed to state convention

Congratulations to Maecy Claiborne and Sudie Callahan for placing first at the Area 7 proficiency selections and qualifying to be a candidate at the Missouri State FFA convention. Maecy will be competing in equine entrepreneurship and Sudie will be competing in veterinary science.

    Bitter cold ahead

Tomorrow is looking like it will be the coldest day of the season so far. You definitely want to have your warmest clothes ready.

Wind chills below zero in the morning and then high temperatures in the single digits in northeast MO and teens everywhere else.
