TRAFFIC ALERT: Missouri Route 18 (Ohio Street) in Clinton CLOSED for Tree Removal Feb. 27
What: Missouri Route 18 (Ohio Street) in Clinton CLOSED for tree removal between 9th Street and Missouri Avenue
When: 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday Feb. 27
Why: Contractor crews removing large tree, dropping limbs and debris onto highway
Traffic Impacts:
All lanes of Route 18 (Ohio Street) CLOSED where crews are set up working
Drivers will be able to get to driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through the work zone
Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closed highway
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 1st from 2-4pm at the Frontier Village in Adrian, MO for Darlene Marie (Jadlot) Arndt .

Updated Obituary - Amanda Jeanne Guggisberg
Amanda Jeanne Guggisberg, 33, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her home. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Lung Association in Amanda’s name.
Amanda was born on June 3, 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Larry and Jackie (Braden) Guggisberg. She was a graduate of Harrisonville High School Class of 2002. After high school, she spent most of her career as a CNA in various nursing homes throughout the area when her health would allow her to work, as she battled with a lung condition most of her life. Amanda’s greatest achievement was being a mother to her two children as they loved to go swimming together or take a trip to the local park to play. She will be remembered for her collection of panda bears.
Amanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather. She is survived by her parents: Larry and Jackie Guggisberg of East Lynne; her children: Lyniah Marie and Lamar Jarell “LJ”; her brother, Jason Guggisberg; her paternal grandmother, Donna Guggisberg; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Archie Gun and Knife Show
Looking for something fun to do this weekend?
The Archie Gun and Knife Show is set for February 28th, 29th and March 1st at the Archie Community Center.
The show hours are Friday 4-8, Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 9-2, $5 per day, veterans with ID and kids under 10 are free.
Enjoy a steak dinner on Friday night and tenderloins on Saturday. There will be a knife sharpener on hand to sharpen knives.

Archie District Basketball Tournament Information
The District Tournament being held at the Archie R-V School District this week is officially a MSHSAA sanctioned event, therefore admission for all students, adults and senior citizens will be $5 per MSHSAA regulations.
The only patrons admitted to the event without pay are required to be on a district generated pass list.
Obituary - Diane T. Darlington
Diane T.Darlington, 73, of Bronaugh passed away on Friday February 21, 2020. Diane was born July 29, 1946 in Bridgeport, CT. Diane graduated from Las Vegas High School Las Vegas, NV.
She lived in Sarasota, FL, Ft. Collins, CO until 1980, Houston, TX and in 1990 moved to Bronaugh with her husband, Richard “Rick” Darlington. Diane had a big heart and loved all the beauty the outdoors had to offer. She enjoyed crafts, cross stitching, cooking and being the woman of the house.
In addition to her husband, Rick, she is survived by two sons: Scott Dudley Folsom (Micaela) and Alexander Guy Folsom, both of Grand Junction, CO; step-daughter, Liesel Renae Perez (Rodell); Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Autumn Rae Diane Folsom of Grand Junction, CO; step-grandchildren, Landon Perez and Gabrial Perez; sister, Eileen Ackworth; extended family and special friends. There is a private family Memorial Service planned.
