Darryl Dee Lawrence, 70, of Harrisonville, Mo, passed away on July 18, 2023 surrounded by family after a year long battle with Metastatic Small Cell Lung Cancer.
Darryl was born to Jack and Alice Lawrence at Fort MacArthur Station Hospital in San Pedro, Ca. His early school years were spent in various countries overseas and he graduated from Raytown South High School.
Darryl was a jack-of-all trades and held several careers throughout his life including jewelry salesman, carpenter, realtor, lumber salesman, truck driver, and machinist. He was best known for his jokes and story-telling abilities. His role as husband and father were his priority. As a child, travels in a military family had a profound effect on him, so he spent much time educating himself and creating a homestead for his family. His vision came to life on 20 country acres in Harrisonville, Mo. where he passionately labored, enjoyed, and shared his earthly paradise.
After retirement, Darryl enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed grilling, hunting, fishing, music, reading, working crossword and Sudoku puzzles and being a grandpa. He was happiest when others took pleasure in fishing, hunting and watching firework displays at his property.
Darryl is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vickie (Smith) Lawrence, Harrisonville, their daughters, Aubrey Contreras (spouse Cipriano, their children Kai, Addy and Leed ), North Kansas City, Mo. and Derika Lawrence (spouse Whitney), Harrisonville, Mo., ex-wife Debbie (Jacks) Frost (Ken), Lone Jack, Mo., their daughter, Mandy Pittman (spouse Jason, their sons, Chance, Spencer and Logan), Grain Valley, Mo., a brother, Jae Lawrence, Las Vegas, Nv., a sister, Teresa Farmer (Jamie), Clearwater, Fl., step-mother, Mercedes Lawrence, Clearwater, Fl., plus many beloved nieces, nephews, and family.
Darryl was predeceased by his father, Jack Roger Lawrence, his mother, Alice Jean Lawrence and brother, Garry Lawrence.
Visitation will be held at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, Mo. On Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at 10:00am with memorial service at 11:00am.

On 07/15/2023 at approximately 1030 hours, officers responded to Bank of America regarding the robbery of an ATM. Two black males assaulted the ATM Technician and got away with over $200,000 in cash.
Police are attempting to identify these two suspects in the attached photos.
Suspect #1 (Black hoodie) is a black male, heavy build
Suspect #2 (White hoodie) is a black male, very thin build

On 07/15/2023 at approximately 1030 hours, officers responded to Bank of America regarding the robbery of an ATM. Two black males assaulted the ATM Technician and got away with over $200,000 in cash.
The ATM cash boxes were later discovered in a nearby apartment complex dumpster. The suspects were driving a newer model silver Jeep Compass with a stolen license plate on the rear.
Police are attempting to identify these two suspects in the attached photos.

Obituary - Christopher Patrick Aguilar
Christopher Patrick Aguilar, 44, Nevada, MO passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at his home in Nevada. He was born June 3, 1979, in Kansas City, KS, to Christopher William and Mary Jo (Scharschell) Aguilar. Christopher married his longtime love, Erin Wayman, on July 29, 2020, in Nevada, MO.
Christopher was raised in Kansas City, KS, and Nevada, MO. He worked as a truck driver most of his working life. Being a generous person, he never met a stranger. He was a chess player, enjoyed telling stories, and loved fishing and riding his motorcycle. A self-made man, everything Christopher got, he did on his own. He was a wonderful friend and husband.
In addition to his wife Erin, he is survived by a daughter, Amethyst Wayman, Ft. Scott, KS; his mother, Nancy Seitz-Aguilar, Nevada, MO; 4 brothers and sisters, Lee Scharschell, Nicole “Sissy” Scharschell, Scottie Dickerson (Cori), and Amber Francisco (Diego), all of Kansas City, KS; numerous nieces and nephews, including J.J. & Gavin of the home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Gabbie Carmichael daughter of Byron and Tiffany Carmichael of Butler is returning home from the US Junior Nationals, Mountain Madness 14u girls basketball tournament in Denver Colorado.
Her team Eclipse Red won the championship and she was voted into the tournament All Star team.

Obituary - William Keith Woodfin
In the early afternoon of July 22, 2023, William Keith Woodfin passed away at the age of 88. Bill was born at home to Vernon and Gertrude Woodfin in Bates County, Missouri, and was one of five siblings, who have all preceded him in death.
Bill is also preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Woodfin of 57 years. Together they raised four children, Thomas Hood, (spouse Karen), Dean Hood, Mary(Hood)Weaver (spouse Douglas), and Melissa (Woodfin) Massey (spouse Mike). They left a legacy of grandchildren, Dustin Weaver (spouse Alejandra), Monica (Massey) Curtis, (spouse Jonathan), Adrienne (Weaver) Hunter, (spouse Logan), Brandon Hood (spouse Chelsey), Katie Hood, and Maddie Hood, and great grandchildren, Easton and Owen Curtis, and Emersyn Hood.
Bill graduated from Rich Hill high school and began his career as a truck driver for the local coal mines in and around Rich Hill. He retired as a Teamster’s union member, working at Ideal truck lines in Kansas City. Bill worked alongside his son-in-law, Mike, for Massey cleaning over 20 years. He also served in the US Navy for six years as an aviation, machinist mate on the USS Intrepid.
As a family man, Bill loved woodworking and anything mechanical. In his younger years, he taught his children to love the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and rodeos. Bill was an amateur bull rider who won a few and lost a few.
Bill was a man who faced life challenges head on and never backed down or complained. He married a woman with three babies and claimed them as his own and was shocked when together they had one more. His passion for winning the lottery was infamous and now he and Madeline, whom he greatly missed, are continuing their search together.
Graveside with military honors will be held 10:30 am Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Green Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration to Honor Bill will be held at 12 noon Thursday, July 27 at the Rich Hill American Legion Hall Post #67. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Post #67.
