James “Jim” Morris, 77 of Butler, Missouri passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2025 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). Cremation to follow with no funeral service. James Harvey Morris was born April 19, 1954 in Butler, Missouri. The son of Arthur and Neta Pancake Morris. Jim grew up in the Butler area and was united in marriage to Linda Bursby on August 28, 1976 in Eldorado Springs, Missouri. Seven children were born to this union, Carla, James, Robert, Kelly, Sara, Aaron, and Timothy.
Jim worked at Vit-A-Zine for 40 years before retiring in 2015. He also enjoyed owning and operating the family farm. He began his farming career with row crops, continuing for many years until he switched to livestock, which included, Dogs, pigs, cattle, and horses over the years. Jim would always say, “he was a jack of many trades, and master of none.” Always working on tractors, farm equipment, cars, as well as plumbing and electrical. He always had plenty of projects in the works, but still had time to help family with whatever was needed.
Jim loved the farm, but he especially enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Linda. Together they would tackle projects on the farm, travel, and relax on cruises.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda Morris, and infant daughter Rebecca. He is survived by his children, Carla Maynard, James Morris and wife Sherry, Robert Morris and wife Jamie, Kelly Morris, Sara Morris, Tim Morris, and Aaron Morris. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings, Charlie Morris, Betty Blanketenship, Chester Morris, Jean Moore, and Robert “Bob” Morris, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Annette Ruth Hermann Anderson, age 83 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. She was born March 20, 1942 to Herbert Hadley and Mildred Louise Hyatt Hermann in St. Louis, Missouri.
Annette is survived by her husband, Gary Anderson of Butler, Missouri; six children, Larry Anderson and wife Karla of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Richard Anderson and wife Margaret of Edwardsville, Illinois, Michael Anderson and wife Debi of Butler, Missouri, Ann Slayton and husband Bob of St. Louis, Missouri, Matthew Anderson of Maryville, Illinois and Layne Anderson of Butler, Missouri; and 11 grandchildren. Annette was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Maretta Kelley.

Obituary - Kathlyn Tilton
Our beloved mother, Kathlyn Tilton, 84, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones for every moment of her last few weeks. Born on March 2, 1941, at Gassville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Duggins and Marie (Poynter) Duggins. She attended school at Cotter where from an early age she developed a love of music, playing the trumpet in the band. She also played on the basketball team and was a talented piano player. Kathlyn was united in marriage to CC Tilton on August 7, 1958.
She was preceded in death by her husband, CC Tilton; her sister, Bonnie Sue (Duggins) Burrow; and her son, Gary Tilton. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Scott) Booth of Wheatland, MO; her son, Steve Tilton of Yellville, AR; son, Randall (Kathy) Tilton of Scott, AR; daughter, Laura (Jerry) Smith of Timbo, AR; and son, Clint (Cassie) Tilton of Yellville, AR; as well as eight grandchildren; and a niece Pat (Bill) Woods of Bull Shoals, AR.
In her last weeks, a stray kitten found its way to her bedside, offering warmth and quiet companionship. Their bond brought her great happiness and comfort, a final gift of simple, pure joy. That small life brought her immense comfort and joy at the end of her journey. The family adopted him in her honor, keeping close the little life that meant so much to her.
A memorial will be held at a later date at George's Creek Cemetery.
