Eagles play well in Sedalia

 Miami 8th grade students (Jared Fuqua, Tyler Hragyil, and Jaed Roark) attended WCMMEA JH District Honor Band on Sat. in Sedalia. Rehearsal began at 8:30 am and was followed by a concert at 4. The group of about 116 students was directed by Mr. Justin Doss. It was a long day, but a fun one!

Santa makes special visit to Butler Public Library

 

You'd think with worldwide Christmas deliveries ahead, Santa would be way too busy- however, he made a very special visit to the Butler Public Library last week taking the time to read to a group of very appreciative youngsters which yes, contend they all have been good this year.

Cameron earns Master of Science in Nursing

Congratulations to Sierra Cameron on earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst University and achieving her nurse practitioner credential!

Sierra is part of the Bates County Memorial Surgery Department and will soon be taking the next step in her nursing career. We’re proud of her accomplishment and wish her continued success in the journey ahead.

Ingrassia takes 100th career win

Harrisonville junior Rylie Ingrassia recorded her 100th career victory Saturday at the Marshfield Duals

The milestone came in her opening match against Destany Oster of Waynesville. After a hard-fought three periods with Oster holding a late lead on points, Ingrassia battled back, tied up, hit a late reversal, and secured the fall in the third period.
