Butler Police Department weekly report

Feb. 22nd - Officers arrest a suspect on a city of Butler warrant.

Officers respond to Casey's on Orange St. and recover a marijuana cigarette that was found on the floor.

Officers respond to a peace disturbance at Ft. Scott and Delaware streets. Upon arrival one party has already left the area.

Feb. 23rd - Officers respond to Deems Farm Equipment on an attempted theft. During the night two lawn mowers had been loaded onto a trailer. Apparently when leaving, the trailer became unhitched and was found in the driveway of Deems.

Officers respond to the 500 block of East Ft. Scott on a possible domestic. Upon arrival, officers make contact and determine that no physical contact has occurred. One subject agrees to leave the area.

Officers make a vehicle stop on North Main st.  After contacting the driver, it is determined that the driver is under the influence of alcohol and is arrested.

Feb. 25th - Officers make a vehicle stop on Business 71. During the traffic stop officers discover a crystal substance that tests positive for meth. The driver is arrested.

Feb. 26th - Officers respond to the 100 block of South Willow on a trespassing call. One person is charged with trespassing.

Officers arrest a male subject for a city of Butler warrant.

Officers respond to a parking complaint at Mill and N. Main streets.

Feb 27th - Officers respond to the Fort Scott and High area on the report of a male with a handgun. Officers make contact with the suspect and determine the weapon is not real.

Feb 28th - Officers respond to the Super 8 on a property damage call. After investigating, the suspect agrees to pay for the damages and the manager decides not to pursue charges.

Officers respond to the square on a report that juveniles are on top of several buildings. Officers make contact with several juveniles and the parents are contacted. The case is turned over to the juvenile office.

Officers respond to the square on a possible domestic. Upon arrival it is determined that it is a verbal dispute and no charges are filed.

Officers respond to the 400 block of South Delaware on a medical assist.
