On May 31, April
Sturgeon, 20, Roscoe, was arrested in Osceola for possession of a
controlled substance, a class C felony. Sturgeon was taken into custody
by a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputy during a traffic stop in
Osceola. Formal charges in the case are pending.
During the stop, a search of the vehicle discovered a plastic bag and
a straw with a white powdery residue that field tested positive for
methamphetamine. Sturgeon also admitted to having a controlled substance
on her person prior to being booked into the St. Clair County Jail.
Once at the jail, a plastic bag containing a crystal substance and a
straw was retrieved from Sturgeon. The items were collected as evidence
to be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for analysis. A
court date of June 20 was given and bond was set at $10,000 cash or
surety.
