Concerts announced for 2015 Missouri State Fair

Tickets on sale to the public starting June 17 (SEDALIA, Mo.) – Four concerts were announced today by Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe, adding a mix of sixties and seventies rock, country and contemporary Christian music to this year’s State Fair, Aug. 13-23 in Sedalia.

Added to the line-up is the Happy Together Tour 2015 on opening day, Aug. 13, Justin Moore with Easton Corbin Aug. 15, Gary Allan with The Swon Brothers Aug. 19, and Casting Crowns with I Am They Aug. 20. Tickets will be available to the public starting June 17 through Ticketmaster.

“These four concerts, in addition to the already announced Def Leppard with Styx and Tesla show, will provide a diverse mix of music for concert goers,” Wolfe said. “Three more nights of concerts are still to be announced.”

The Happy Together 2015 Tour features The Turtles with Flo and Eddie, The Association, Former Lead Singer of Paul Revere and The Raiders Mark Lindsay, The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams and The Cowsills. These popular bands and performers from the sixties and seventies collectively produced many hit singles including, “Happy Together,” “Windy,” “Kicks,” Midnight Confessions,” “Kind of a Drag,” and “Hair,” respectively.

Country artists Justin Moore and Gary Allan will bring two nights of great country music to the State Fair.

Moore, the reigning Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year, boasts five #1 hits including “Small Town USA” and “Lettin’ the Night Roll.” Opening for Moore will be Easton Corbin, best known for his hit singles, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll with It.”

Three-time platinum selling artist Gary Allan has recently released a new single, “Hangover Tonight,” to add to his impressive song list that includes hits like “Every Storm Runs Out of Rain” and “Watching Airplanes.” The Swon Brothers (Zach and Colton), will be opening for Allan, and are currently nominated as the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Duo of the Year. Their new single, “Pray for You,” is a follow-up to their top 15 debut hit, “Later On.”

With over 8.2 million albums sold to date, Casting Crowns remains the top selling act in Christian music since 2007. Their chart-topping songs, including “Who am I,” “Voice of Truth,” and “Praise You in This Storm,” among others, have earned many accolades for this award-winning group.
