Mildred Irene Godsey

Mildred Irene Godsey, 96 of Nevada, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Nevada Nursing and Rehab. She was born February 20, 1920 in St. Clair County to Marion and Nellie (Etherton) Lewellen. On July 5, 1957 she was married to Thomas Godsey and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mildred was raised in St. Clair County and attended school there. She lived in Arizona for 12 years working at Arizona State University in their housekeeping department for a number of years. 

She came to live in Nevada in 1974 and began working for the Nevada State Hospital in 1974 where she continued to work until her retirement. Mildred enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Heal and husband Pete of Harlowton, MT, son, Charles Godsey and wife Pam of Nevada, four grandchildren, Shane Heal and wife Catherine, Kiersten Heal of Montana, Jennifer Charles and husband Terry of Walker, MO, and Mark Godsey and wife Emily of Nevada, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Thomas, she was preceded in death by her sister, Erma Johnson, brother, John Lewellen, and a grandson, Brent Godsey.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Moore Cemetery, Nevada with Pam Godsey officiating.
