Jeanne Bernadette Berryman of Harrisonville, MO was born Feb 27, 1935 in Kansas City, MO. The daughter of Bernard and Alice (Carter) Riley. She departed this life Monday, November 14, 2016 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, MO at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 15 days.

On April 11, 1953 Bernie was united in marriage to Kenneth Lloyd Berryman in Kansas City, Missouri. Their life together was an example of a special love for each other, as God intended for marriage to be.

Bernie was employed at Shelter Insurance, Harrisonville, MO until her retirement. Previously she was employed at Garden City Garment Factory and later she joined her husband on the road as an over the road driver. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, MO. She was an extremely faithful Christian and was at the heart of the prayer chain devoted to praying for those in need. Her devotion to God, her husband, and her family was unequaled. Her grandchildren could always count on ‘grandma’ to travel any distance to support them during ballgames or special recognitions. She was an avid fan of the Royals and Mizzou.

Bernie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her parents, Bernard and Alice Riley, and siblings, Fred Riley, Mary Ann, Joan Huff and Dolores Cox, and her son Ken Berryman.

She is survived by 4 children, Gloria Phillips, Harrisonville, MO, Karen Caldwell and husband Larry, Aurora, MO, Daughter-in-law Carol Berryman, Peculiar, MO; Jim Berryman and wife Linda, Piedmont, OK, Susan Boehm and husband Larry, Independence, MO; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Orient Cemtery, Harrisonville, Missouri.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. There will be a Recitation of the Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Memorial Fund, Harrisonville, Missouri.
