During the early morning hours of Sunday, January 15, 2017, while Gerald was working a shift for our agency, his wife, Tiffany (who is also employed by our agency) along with their 5 children were at home and awakened to their house being on fire and full of smoke.
Luckily, everyone was able to escape their burning residence, including their pets.
While escaping with their lives, Gerald and Tiffany's oldest daughter, 9-year-old Hailey, ran and grabbed her little brother, wrapping him in blankets. Hailey managed to save her brother’s favorite blankie, along with a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal, however all of their other personal items was lost to the devasating fire.
They will need to replace all of their personal possessions, clothes for the entire family, and everything else that goes along with putting their lives back together, after their loss.
Gerald and Tiffany are overwhelmed by love and support from their family, friends and co-workers. Any donation, big or small, will be incredibly appreciated as they cope with this loss.
Clothing sizes for their children are: 2T for youngest daughter, 4T for youngest son, and sizes needed for all their other daughters are size 6 & 10 pants, as well as small and medium shirts.
Donated personal items can be left at our office, Henry County Sheriff's Office, 200 North Main St., Clinton, MO 64735, for the family. You can also visit the link below, as a GoFundMe account has been established.
