At about 11:45am today, Officers of the Garden City Police Department attempted to locate two individuals wanted by another jurisdiction. During a search, officers contacted a 34 year old man from Clinton in the 400 block of Beach Street. A records check revealed the Clinton man has warrants for his arrest out of Independence, Missouri for assault.
The man was taken into custody and transported to the Belton City Jail without incident. Officers also located one of the fugitives. The second fugitive is not believed to be in the Garden City area.
