He is survived by his mother and step-father, Paula and Mike Beruan, Garden City, Missouri; his father, Dean Gilbert, Cameron, Missouri; a brother, Daniel Gilbert, Independence, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Mary Duvall, Independence, Missouri; paternal grandfather, Lester Gilbert, Elmwood, Nebraska; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to The Miracle League of Independence.
