Alan Jackson and Lee Ann Womack to play Missouri State Fair

Alan Jackson will bring his 2017 Honky Tonk Highway Tour to Sedalia on Saturday, Aug. 12 with special guest, multi-platinum singer Lee Ann Womack.

According to information from MSF, Jackson’s 2017 Honky Tonk Highway Tour comes on the heels of the recent 25th anniversary celebration tour, which found the superstar playing to sold-out crowds throughout 2015 and 2016. Jackson recently released the album “Angels and Alcohol,” and is the subject of a new box set, “Genuine: The Alan Jackson Story.”

Jackson’s debut hit was “Here in The Real World,” with other popular tunes such as “Chattahoochee,” “Drive,” “Gone Country,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” and “Good Time.”

Womack will join Jackson for his Missouri show. A long-standing Jackson duet partner, Womack has appeared on several of his albums, and the two have shared a number of stages, including the Grand Ole Opry. Womack also honored Jackson at the 2014 CMT Music Awards when he received his Impact Award. At the State Fair, fans will hear hits spanning Womack’s career to date, as well as brand new and unreleased songs.

Tickets to the Alan Jackson concert at the Fair range from $30 to $55. Grandstand tickets do not include admission to the Fair.

Concert tickets will be on sale starting at 9 a.m. June 20 through ticketmaster.com or at 800-796-6776 or 800-745-3000. The Missouri State Fair Box Office opens at noon June 26 for walk-up orders.

The 2017 Missouri State Fair in Sedalia will be hosted Aug. 10-20 with the theme “Come Home.”
